Parent Teacher
Association
Since 1979 there has been an active Parent Teacher Association
at the school. Five office bearers are appointed and the committee
consists of all parents of pupils at the school. They meet
throughout the year to discuss fund raising activities and
how these funds should be used.
Parent Helpers
Parents also assist staff in the running of parties, sports,
educational outings and with different activities in the classrooms.
The school has already benefited considerably from the money
raised and the help and support given by all parents involved.
School Board
Crathes School Board was set up in November 1989 and consists
of four elected parent representatives, one staff representative
and two co-opted members.
Members are elected or co-opted for a period of four years.
The School Board works to promote Crathes School and to represent
the views of parents, community and staff on a wide variety
of issues. The School Board has been involved in issues as
diverse as staffing levels, improvements to school buildings,
erection of additional classroom, safety and anti-bullying.
